How to get there: Metro to Chawri Chowk station walk straight down the street for about 10 – 15 minutes on the road, HOHO bus or cab.

It is a well respected 42 meter tall memorial built in 1931 to honour the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the First World War. It was designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens. India Gate is the national monument of India and at recent times many political demonstrations are often held in this area. You can see a flame continually lit under the gate in the honour of those brave soldiers.
How to get there: HOHO bus, cab or by Metro station till Central Secretariat take an auto rickshaw up to the entrance of the India Gate.

It is 73 m-high tallest minaret in the world, made up of bricks, lying amongst the crumbling structural ruins. It is believed that the Qutb Minar was built by Qutab-ud-din Aibak to mark the victory after the defeat of Delhi’s last Hindu kingdom. It is constructed from red sandstone and has detailed carvings and inscriptions throughout the tower with Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque at the foot of the tower which is the first mosque to be built in India.
It is situated in the Mehrauli area of Delhi. The minaret is a part of the Qutab complex and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is a Qutub Festival that takes place here every October/November where Indian classical music and dance are shown.
How to get there: It is easier to reach complex by taking a metro to Qutab Minar station followed by an auto rickshaw for 1km to the ruins.
